Welcome to the Gaston County GIS Web Site. This web site is a public resource of general information that will allow the user to search, view and print tax parcel information.

The search button above will allow you to search the tax parcel database by the option you choose from the drop down list. You will be presented with the results of your search in the form of a map display on the left and parcel information on the right.

The layers button above, list all of the layers available for display in your search. Simply check the ones you would like to display in your search then click the Refresh Map button.

The legend button above when clicked will list all of the layers currently visible on the map. To close the legend click close legend button.

The help button above when clicked will give you information pertaining to the navigation of this site. Information such as how to Zoom In, Zoom Out, and Print a Map with or without parcel info attached.

This application is best viewed with a pixel resolution of 1024 X 768. Failure to change your resolution will adversely affect the map scale of this application. To change your pixel resolution - Right click on your Desktop - select Properties from the pop-up list - Select the Settings tab - Change the pixel setting in the Desktop Area.

If you would like to learn more about how to navigate this application, click the help button at the top right of this page. If you encounter any problems working with this application please close it, then open the application again. This should handle most errors you may encounter.
